New Q1 Content Release: Workplace Discrimination and Harassment

We have released new content and updates within our Health and Safety Pathway, covering Workplace Discrimination and Harassment. This new release is a comprehensive 18-module course designed to foster respectful, inclusive, and legally compliant work environments. The modules focus on building knowledge and tools to identify, prevent, and address workplace discrimination.

There are two levels within this pathway: one is foundational training, applicable to all employees; the second level is advanced training for supervisors and managers. This content is available in both English and Spanish.

Q1 LMS Releases

On the Job Training

On the Job Training (OJT) is the process of employees learning as they work, but in a structured way. WorkForge has created OJT Learning Paths as a structured training program for employees to follow as they learn on the job. It includes steps like training plans, tests, evaluations, and a final sign-off.

Employees must complete each step in order, and some paths may be mandatory for compliance. These paths are made up of four major components: Skill Alignment, Performance Optimization, Training Preparedness, and Workforce Development. These paths serve as a roadmap to ensure that employees receive thorough, role-specific training while providing accountability at every stage.

Learning Paths are designed to be intuitive to follow and flexible to structure. Whether it’s compliance training or a custom job role, everything is assigned and tracked for consistency across teams. The benefit of using OJT combined with Learning Paths is that all progress and records are logged and tracked in the system, so managers have everything in one place.

Skills Matrix

The Skills Matrix is a real-time skills inventory of your workforce, making team management and personnel development very easy. It identifies training and non-training requirements for learners, facilitating operational compliance and competency assessment. Job Roles are versatile and can be applied in various contexts, such as tracking work permits or upskilling for specific positions. They ensure learners maintain mandatory qualifications and provide a user-friendly interface for tracking progress and requirements.

You can use the Skills Matrix to:

  • Identify skill gaps and areas for development.
  • Onboard new employees.
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory job requirements.
  • Upskill for leadership roles.
  • Plan and monitor employee training effectively.
  • Track certification and compliance.
  • Align workforce capabilities and planning with organizational goals for continuous improvement and success.

The Skills Matrix Report can be exported and manipulated to create sub-reports to solve for more specific staffing scenarios, like:

  • Determine who is competently trained in a specific job role AND who is available during the specific shift that you need filled.
  • Find the number of employees in a certain job role and quickly see who is adequately trained and assigned to which shift, so you can see who needs more training, and/or which shifts of workers may be the most competent.
  • List the employees who have expired training courses in a specific Learning Path so you can quickly see who needs to be re-trained.

More to Come!
